Skeleton
Skeleton
Category: Undead
Description
Reanimated skeletal remains of humans, humanoids, or beasts. Stripped entirely of flesh and organs, they are held together and animated purely by necromantic magic. Without the weight of flesh, they are surprisingly quick and agile, though physically brittle.
Abilities
- Tireless & Immune: Like all undead, they never tire, do not need to breathe, and are completely immune to pain, poison, and mind-affecting magic.
- Damage Resistances: Due to their lack of organs and flesh, piercing weapons (like arrows or rapiers) often pass harmlessly through their ribcages. They are highly vulnerable to bludgeoning weapons (maces, hammers) that can shatter their magically reinforced bones.
Lore
Created through illegal necromancy—a dark combination of Soul Magic and Necromancy. The corpse receives a bound granted soul that can drive the body through a necromantic matrix. Without a soul anchor, a corpse cannot self-move and must be puppeteered directly by the caster. They are used as cheap, expendable foot soldiers and guards by dark mages and the Ibasan invaders. Because they do not rot, they can be stored indefinitely until activated.
