Artifice
Artifice
Fictional Permission
When you hold Artifice in your Grimoire, you have specific fictional positioning.
Artifice CAN:
- Build, maintain, and modify enchanted devices, focuses, and workshop infrastructure.
- Create persistent tools that change fictional positioning (locks, mobility aids, weapon mods).
- Anchor delayed effects into objects when resolved through an appropriate core school's glyphs.
Artifice CANNOT:
- Grant a separate Technique Glyph school track (see The Core Matrix below).
- Replace live casting entirely; powering a device under fire still triggers moves if fiction demands.
- Handwave faction seals, military inspection, or black-market tracing without consequences.
The Core Matrix
Artifice is currently a support discipline, not a standalone Technique Glyph school.
- It does not grant an independent Technique Glyph progression at this time.
- Use Artifice as fictional positioning for crafting, devices, and enchanted infrastructure.
- For active spell shaping, resolve effects through relevant core-school Technique Glyph tracks.
