History

House Noveda was traditionally a military house, deeply intertwined with the Eldemar royal family and known for fierce traditionalism. Service was a core pillar: every male member served in the military, and many female members enlisted as well.

The Novedas were staunch supporters of Eldemar's military expansion during the Splinter Wars, suffering heavy casualties. The final blow was The Weeping — the magical plague killed every remaining main-line member and most branch lines, leaving only Zach as the sole survivor.

Current Status

Because Zach was a minor, the Crown appointed Tesen Zveri as caretaker. He has systematically looted the estate:

• Paying himself exorbitant "caretaker fees"
• Selling priceless heirlooms to associates at suspiciously low prices
• Giving portions of the stolen wealth to the Crown to secure their silence
