Enrollment Rules
Academy Enrolment Rules
The Cyorian Academy operates on a rigid bureaucratic structure.
1. The Mentor Assignment (Character Creation)
During Character Creation, every player must choose One Mentor Professor.
- The Choice: This choice is completely free and unrestricted by the player's starting stats or skills. If a player wants their combat-focused character to be mentored by the Illusionism Class professor, they can choose to do so.
- The Lock-In: Because this bureaucratic assignment happened before the month began (during the summer enrolment period), it cannot be changed. A student assigned to Professor Professor Xvim Chao will remain assigned to Professor Professor Xvim Chao until the end.
- The Benefit: The player's assigned Mentor is available to them during the Afternoon (Hybrid) time slots. Seeking them out allows players to ask questions, learn advanced techniques, or request custom training (earning SP or Insights depending on the roleplay).
2. Electing Majors and Minors (Day 1)
On this day, they must actively submit their desired class schedule for that year.
Majors (Mandatory)
Each student must select exactly 2 Major Classes from the available disciplines.
- Majors represent the student's core focus for that month.
- Attendance is Mandatory. If a student schedules a Major on a Monday morning, they must spend their Monday Morning Time Slot at that class.
Minors (Optional)
Each student can select up to 3 Minor Classes (0 is acceptable).
- Minors represent secondary interests.
- Attendance is Optional. A student can choose to attend their Minor class to earn SP (Study Points), or they can completely skip it to use that Morning Time Slot for Investigative activities outside the Academy. The Academy does not take attendance for Minors.
3. Violations and Expulsion
The Cyorian Academy does not tolerate truancy for its core curriculum.
- Violations: If a student fails to attend a scheduled Major Class Time Slot, they receive 1 Violation.
- Expulsion Threshold: If a student accumulates 3 Violations within a single month, they are formally expelled.
- The Consequences of Expulsion: Being expelled is disastrous for progression. The student's Academy pass is revoked. They are physically barred from the premises, cannot access the Grand Library (preventing theoretical SP gain), and cannot interact with any Professors (including their Mentor) on academy grounds.
