Mana Burn is retained as an in-world flavor phrase. Canon play resolution uses the Mana Track and fiction-forward strain consequences.

In current mechanics, when a caster pushes beyond safe limits, excess magical strain converts into immediate physical harm and narrative fallout rather than a separate numeric subsystem.
