Specializations
Specializations represent a mage's deep, almost obsessive focus within a specific Core School of magic.
While any competent mage can cast basic Evocation spells, a mage who takes the Evocation Specialization has fundamentally altered their spiritual matrix to accommodate that specific type of mana shaping.
Mechanics:
- Specializations cannot be purchased during character creation (unless strictly permitted by the GM).
- A character must reach Level 3 in a Core School to unlock the ability to purchase a child Specialization.
- Unlocking a child Specialization costs 1 IP, then its levels are advanced with SP as normal.
- Specializations primarily grant fictional permission, access to exclusive glyph dialects, and eligibility for specialization-specific Moves. They do not add extra dice by default unless a Move says so.
