Wacht
Sets a watch — vigilance patterns that notice, challenge, or awaken when conditions change.
How it works
Wacht is attention on retainer. It does not strike first; it notices. In composition it mans Gitter cells, sits on Anker pegs, and decides when Hall should shout. Fictionally Wacht wants criteria — who, what motion, what hour. A watch with no orders either screams always or never.
Combines well with: Gitter (many posts), Hall (raise the cry), Anker (watch this site).
Function in Compositions
Form glyph. Use it when the fiction needs this verb at the center of the declaration, then dress it with school and scale.
Typical 7-9 Risk Signature
7-9: the watch wakes, but it cries wolf, sleeps through the real threat, or wakes you at the worst moment.
School Affinity Notes
Frequent in Abjuration and Divination work, but any school may borrow it when the fiction fits.
