Spell Formula

Spell Formula (and Formulas)

A Spell Formula is the stabilized declaration structure a caster records in their Grimoire. In current canon, formulas are written as:

Intent -> School -> Glyph -> Scale -> Tags

When a Formula is cast in danger, it is resolved through Shape the Matrix.

When a Formula is prepared through support disciplines:

• use Brew Alchemy for consumable preparation workflows,
• use Engrave Artifice for inscribed item workflows.

Mastered formulas can be tuned to your style via Research Matrix (1-2 SP, player-chosen direction); each tune is recorded as a version line on the formula's note.

See also: Artifice for the practice of permanently carving Formulas into physical objects.
