The Jack of All Trades
Anything, just never perfection. You pick up every school quickly, but mastery slips away.
You are a 2nd-year student at the Cyorian Royal Magical Academy.
1. Origins
Pick 1. Your origin grants a Connection — a person, organization, or access you can leverage during play.
| Origin | You come from... | Connection |
|---|---|---|
Foreign Exchange Student | You hail from Koth, Sulamnon, or another distant nation: exotic methods, cultural blind spots. | The Embassy: once per quest, foreign goods, diplomatic sanctuary, or information [[Eldemar\ |
Street Rat | You grew up in the undercity of Cyoria: routes, survival instinct, street credibility. | Underground Contacts: black market access, 1/session. |
Scholar's Child | Archives, academic literacy, and research discipline were your nursery. | Library Access: restricted archives, 1/arc. |
2. Attributes
Fixed array. Sum +4.
Mana: 4 + Highest of (Calculation, Finesse, Willpower) = [6] Boxes Ready Glyphs: 2 + Highest of (Calculation, Memory) = [4]
3. Starting Schools
Baseline casting starts with your school-native starter glyph. You may hold a number of Mastered Spells in active recall equal to your Memory attribute.
4. Playbook Moves
Signature Move (auto-granted)
Quick Study: When you learn a new formula, you may cast it once, immediately, as if it were Mastered. After that, it's just another formula in your Grimoire.

6. Bonds
Format: "I have a bond of [Emotion/Concept] with [NPC Name] because [Reason]."
- Someone here keeps asking you for help with their homework because...
- Someone here thinks your dabbling is a waste of talent because...
7. Advancement
Fiction-first milestone hooks — the GM can use them when you spend SP/IP or when a chapter closes. Growth shows in the story, not on a table.
- Everything, never perfect. What skill are you quietly better at than you admit? Why do you hide it?
- The missing piece. Which single thing would you master if you had to choose — and what does choosing cost?
- Everyone's second. When the team needs one person to step up, is it ever you?
