The Noble

Born to rule, raised on magic. Your name opens doors — and closes them on other people.

You are a 2nd-year student at the Cyorian Royal Magical Academy.

4. Playbook Moves

Signature Move (auto-granted)

The Name Opens Doors: When you invoke your family name to gain access, favors, or obedience, roll +Social.

  • 10+: Choose 2 — doors open without question, no debt is recorded, someone volunteers more than you asked.
  • 7-9: You get what you want, but the GM chooses one: the House hears about it, a favor is owed, or the person resents being leaned on.
  • 6-: The name carries less weight than you thought — or more danger — and the GM makes a hard move.

Choose 2 of 6

6. Bonds

Format: "I have a bond of [Emotion/Concept] with [NPC Name] because [Reason]."

  • Someone here covers for your family's debts because...
  • Someone here hates your name on sight because...

7. Advancement

Fiction-first milestone hooks — the GM can use them when you spend SP/IP or when a chapter closes. Growth shows in the story, not on a table.

  • Your name is a currency. What favor are you willing to spend it on — and what happens when a House you slighted calls it in?
  • The weight of legacy. Which family expectation are you starting to question? Who in your House would disown you for it?
  • Power or people. When the House and your friends want different things, whose side are you on — and can you survive the choice?
