Mage's Grasp
Declaration: Lift and guide a small object at range with gentle, controlled force. Spell from the Projection school, using the glyph Stoss. Trivial (short range, single small object, brief) difficulty. Tags utility, control
Technique Glyph: Stoss (Anchor) Role: anchor — impulse release Function: applies directed force at any scale, not just combat School: Projection Expected Mana Cost: 0 ticks (Trivial)
Fictional Trigger
When you need a book from the top shelf, a key from a guard's belt, or a pen across the lecture hall without moving.
Outcome Ladders
- 10+: the object moves exactly as intended, steady and silent.
- 7-9: it moves, but clumsily: the GM chooses one — it scrapes or clatters loudly, it drops a moment early, or the gesture is obvious to anyone watching.
- 6-: the force lurches and the object flies, and the GM makes a hard move (broken glass, a caught eye, a snatched treasure).

Notes
Proof that a glyph's identity is a dial, not a genre: the same Stoss that detonates a Fireball lifts a teacup. Trivial scale means it is free to cast — students use it constantly, and professors have long since warded their desks against it.
