Transformation Shell

A Transformation Shell (sometimes called "soul clothes") is a sophisticated mana structure required for advanced Transformation Magic.

Function

Instead of simply changing the physical body (which is dangerous and prone to failure), a mage constructs a "shell" around their soul. This shell acts as a template or a set of "clothes" that filters the mage's magical output through a new biological or spiritual pattern.

Safety and Persistence

The shell prevents the mage's soul from being permanently warped by the transformation. It also allows for more stable and lingering transformations, such as the master-level True Shapeshifting used by high-tier mages and certain magical creatures.
