Memory
Memory
Category: Magical
Memory represents your character's capability to recall complex formulas across resets and their overall conceptual retention. In a time-loop scenario, this attribute is paramount for retaining knowledge, spells, and experiences from previous loops, and it serves directly as your Sanity Resistance.
Mechanically, Memory dictates the size of your "mental hard drive" for internalized magic. You can hold a number of Mastered Spells equal to your Memory × 2. Mastered spells can be cast silently, without gestures, cost 1 less Mana (minimum 1), and can be used as instant reactions.
Common Uses
- Mastered Spells: Internalizing your signature spells for instant, silent, and cheaper casting.
- Loop Retention: Keeping detailed notes and formulas perfectly intact in your mind across resets.
- Sanity Resistance: Anchoring your mind against the psychological trauma of repeated deaths and the immense pressure of the time loop.
- Formula Recall: Memorizing massive, multi-page matrices for complex spellcasting without relying on a physical grimoire.
