Melee Combat (formerly Hand-to-Hand) represents your character's proficiency with close-quarters fighting, whether armed with swords, staves, or bare fists. While mages rely heavily on spells, a well-placed mundane strike or a magically enhanced physical weapon can often bypass magical defenses and wards more effectively than raw mana.

4 Expert Weapon Master. Deadly precision. Can exploit tiny openings, parry incoming spells, and defeat heavily armed squads.
5 Master Blademaster. Unstoppable in close quarters. Can cut through stone, deflect bullets, and best monstrous beasts with a blade.
