Melee Combat (formerly Hand-to-Hand) represents your character's proficiency with close-quarters fighting, whether armed with swords, staves, or bare fists. While mages rely heavily on spells, a well-placed mundane strike or a magically enhanced physical weapon can often bypass magical defenses and wards more effectively than raw mana.
Common Uses
- Striking: Attacking an enemy with a melee weapon or unarmed strike.
- Parrying: Defending against incoming melee attacks.
- Disarming: Knocking a weapon or magical focus out of an opponent's hand.
